sometimes i think im crazy i think sometimes that nothing is real, i see things sometimes i think its just wierd patterns in my VSS but sometimes its so real. i know im not insane becuase i know its happening i know its not real. crazy people think its real. but i dont know what it is then.
Ive seen loads of things on the internet abt MCR's cover of common people in the new danger days remaster and how its abt alt ppl verses "normies". Which just straight up isnt true the song was written by pulp and its abt a true story of this girl Jarvis met in art school who was really rich, and was obsessed with the british working class. The song has lines like:
Oh, rent a flat above a shop
And cut your hair and get a job
And smoke some fags and play some pool
Pretend you never went to school
But still you'll never get it right
'Cause when you're laid in bed at night
Watching roaches climb the wall
If you called your dad he could stop it all, yeah
The song is a commentary on how wealthy people want to act like they are working class becuase they think its "cool" or just a fun style, something to cosplay, its about the class divide. not people who arent alternative. the girl thinks the "common people" are cool becuase they "live fast and dangerously" as the song says: "youll never understand how it feels to live your life with no meaning or control" and how they "dance and drink and screw".
